Hub Towns
To strengthen the possibility of more balanced development at local level and to enhance the development of the regions, additional ‘hub’ towns were named. The nine hub towns are:
- Tuam
- Ballina/Castlebar
- Cavan
- Monaghan
- Kilkenny
- Wexford
- Mallow
- Tralee/Killarney
- Ennis
